Service Through Facebook?

Last week, the High Court in the UK apparently put a stamp of approval on service of a lawsuit through Facebook.

While this might seem ahead of the times, an Australian court in 2008 approved electronic service through email.  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7785004.stm

How long until this reaches the United States? It might be sooner than you think.  Private investigators are already routinely using the internet and social media platforms to track down and monitor individuals.  As it becomes more and more difficult to “stay off the grid”, it can’t be long before a U.S. court takes the next leap to allow service through social media.
